Kids and, surprisingly, adults as well are becoming hooked to free online games. This type of gaming has grown to be so famous because they’re free and quite addictive.
Though the addictiveness aspect of online games has not been confirmed yet, studies have shown that the age bracket of players are 60% 8 to 21 years of age and some 15% from the 35 years old group.
To answer the various clientele base, creators of online games have developed several forms of games covering all genres from cards, board, action, and the most famous adventure games.
Some sites provide all the game categories like shooting games, adventure, puzzles, and role-playing games all under one roof.
A great thing about these online games is that the gamer can happily select the time when she can play it. Though most games are designed for entertaining guests and giving ultimate fun, still there are others that are intellectually stimulating. Sudoku, which is one of those free online strategy games, will help hone the player’s intellectual prowess. There are also free online jigsaw puzzle games that are fun to try on your spare time.
Free online arcade games are excellent for players who aren’t into technical games. Guests can play against other gamers with role-playing games. You can give some insights and comments about your popular games through your Myspace and other Internet profiles.
As a social game, majority of game creators have created web sites that will enable gamers to chat and mingle with other gamers worldwide. Some websites has specially created a platform that enables gamers to design their own personal chatrooms for their own private chats.
A number of game cheats have been popping up as several games have turned popular. Cheats for PS2 games, Game Boy, and Xbox are just among others that are freely offered.
With all these positive aspects and the great fun it promises to give, it should be no wonder that the growing world of Internet gaming is rising into popularity and will continue to do so into the future.

Can anyone give you a virus on your pc by playing free online games?
I was interested in playing Angels Online,and I’ve never played
online games before.I quit going on myspace because my desktop crashed after getting a virus from myspace.I got a new
laptop,and I don’t want something like that happening to my new laptop.Does anyone know if you can get a virus on your computer if you play these free online games?

if the link isn’t a reputable site you can get virus. i would not click a myspace link, many of them are bad. there’s plenty of good sites though like yahoo games and pogo.com

I think you should any type of Anti virus software.. such as Trend Micro, Or Norton.. or any others.. thisd way u can be 100 percent safe before going on ANY site.

Yes.. i used to play those online games and it crashed my laptop… so never play them… some might be good n not have a virus .. its not worth the risk! just go buy ur self some games !hope this helps.. good luck!

I don’t think you can get a serious comp virus through myspace… a virus through myspace might mess up your myspace account but not your computer…
you mostly get viruses from looking at porn sites… so stop looking at porn! or go to trusted sites…

Its possible to get one though a downloaded file, online games often support their software through Ads and Malware that are packaged with the game!

never heard of "angels online"
but yes, its very likely, especially the types that ask you to download. if at all its best you try reputable places such as yahoogames, shockwave.com and such..otherwise be careful, and find a decent antivirus

Some websites do have viruses in them, but you might not be knowing which website has and which doesn’t. Most probably, many won’t be knowing about that. But I’ve heard that many sites are certified and trusted to enter.

no matter what game it is, anything online can give your computer a virus.
Even if the site is suppose to be "Secure" there are always loopholes for hackers to implant viruses.
I know of a site, that is suppose to be "Secure" but recently there have been ads that install Malware onto the computer, the only way to stop this is disconnect the Internet.
No site is ever safe from a virus
make sure that if you have a virus scanner that you turn on Auto-Protect. It will detect and remove viruses, before they cause damage. Also make sure you have an up to date virus scanner

In every aspect you can… A few years ago this happened to me.. and my computer man .. said do not download and or play the free games on line…
He is no fly by night computer man… he fixes computers for Dr’s and Lawyers so he needs to know what is is doing
Not only can it give a virus but cause a major corruption of your software…
So knowing what I know now… no do not do this and… and a costly error .
